Paul Mulqueen, head of SMB at eir Business and chair of the eir Spiders judging panel, highlights the companies who made the eir Spiders awards shortlist and looks ahead to the awards themselves on 30th November in the Mansion House, Dublin.

We’re delighted to reveal the shortlist for the 2017 eir Spiders awards. The shortlist features the crème de la crème of digital marketing innovation in Ireland, and we’re confident it reflects the talent and creativity in Irish companies today.

There are 14 categories in this year’s award. Three new categories – best use of video, best in social media optimisation and best mcommerce campaign – highlight growing trends in digital marketing, particularly the emphasis on video and mobile. The list is a great mix of some familiar names, as well as some exciting new companies, bloggers and websites.

Here is the list of those who have made the eir Spiders 2017 awards shortlist

This is the 22nd year of the eir Spiders and we’re immensely proud to be a long-time sponsor of these awards. For us at eir Business, it’s a natural fit; we realise the importance of highlighting and supporting invention and innovation among businesses across Ireland. Our entire ethos is “let’s make possible” and we see these awards as the end result of what business can do when they have the ability to embrace advanced technologies. By delivering super-fast broadband and mobile speeds to businesses all over Ireland, our goal is to continue to be an enabler for businesses, just like this year’s shortlist.

The eir Spiders awards have become an important benchmark for distinction and excellence in web-based business strategies. We’ve seen previous winners go on to great success in their respective industries. But it’s not all about winning; there is significant value to entering awards like the eir Spiders. In a previous post, I outline 7 reasons why entering awards is good for business.

We’re looking forward to the 30th November in The Round Room of the Mansion House, a wonderful venue for what has become one of the events of the year for the digital marketing sector.
